Re: Autostatus feature request (and initiative again)

This sounds great, Heruca. The improvements to status effects and hp tracking really complement each other nicely, and the "bonus" of being able to apply damage to many units at once is awesome. Thank you for all of your ongoing work to keep supporting BRPG and making it better. I've said it before,...

Re: Advance turn button always available to GMs

I think you just solved my problem! I actually read the manual cover-to-cover after the latest revision, but I missed or forgot that hotkey. I'll test it tonight, but unless you hear otherwise please consider this resolved. Thank you! Mark "You can also end your turn with a hotkey. Pressing [SHIFT-R...

Advance turn button always available to GMs

I have another small suggestion for improvement (and I think this one is actually small!). When your character is up there is a button at the bottom of the screen that allows you to advance the turn in the turn sequencer when your turn ends. Could you make that button always available to GMs (either...

Re: Autostatus feature request (and initiative again)

Would there be a way instead of performing the "math of Max HP t o Current HP to have the Table drive off of a "damage" column and make the visual adjustment (ie colored Squares )? That way, instead of having to reduce the "actual" HP all the time, you could just enter the damage as it occurs and l...

Re: Character image and token generator.

I downloaded the demo. It is extremely easy to use and creates great results. If there were a way to generate a top-down token as well as the portrait picture, that would be incredible for use in BRPG. I hope it catches on and sells very well so that you have the resources to make lots more characte...

Re: Autostatus feature request (and initiative again)

I am too! I've been busy and not following the boards as well as I could, but I'm not sure how I missed this. I love the way you've implemented the idea.

I may have other thoughts after trying out, but as of now I don't have any constructive feedback or suggestions. What you've got looks perfect.

Re: Transparent Highlighting on grid layer

It would be handy to have draw tools (or a draw option) to have the drawn object lines/shapes conform to the grid. In other words, if you drew a circle instead of being perfectly round it would draw around or over the hexes or squares best approximating that shape. I'd say that 95% of the time I dra...

Re: Turn Sequencer

I think the idea of allowing formulas in the turn sequencer is really interesting and would add a lot of flexibility for those who want it (and could be ignored by those who don't). The small simple thing that I would like to see (which I'm sure is not at all small or simple to do) would be to be ab...

Thank you!

I made that change and everything works fine. I'll tell that player he gets no experience point for the past couple of sessions because he and his enlarge spell were the problem ;-). Thanks for the really quick response and solution. We usually play on a hex grid but sometime use squares (especially...

Thanks for the suggestion

I tried removing all of the figures and that fixed the problem, so have been trying to narrow it down. It is a problem with one of the PCs. They are the same figures we always use, but a something must have become corrupt because I also can't load deployments with the latest version of the party. On...

Can not save/load encounters

I can't load any of the encounter files I've saved over the past couple of weeks. The save seems to work fine, but then the encounters I'm using and all of the autosaves won't load. It says "Encounter data is not valid. Aborting." The encounters from more than 2 weeks ago seem to load fine, even one...

1.8b

Thanks, guys. FYI, I'm working concurrently on BRPG v1.8b and BGE v1.5. I hope to release both within a couple of days of each other. Shouldn't be too much longer. What is in the works for 1.8b? Is it mostly bug fixes or are there more goodies on the way? BRPG is so much better now that it was when...

Re: Suggestion List from a dual monitor, large display user

There are a couple of ideas in this post that I think would be extremely helpful to nearly all RPG users. The ability to quickly deduct hit points without going all the way into the Turn Sequencer would be fantastic. The Turn Sequencer works well and does whatever I need it to do, but it is clunky t...

Re: Object offset adjustment issue

I had a similar problem when using the sewer map tile artpack for the first time. I got all the identical horizontal ones set, but then when I added a vertical version with different offsets everything jumped to a different location and then began getting strange results from there. Operating System...

Wow! Very impressive. Everything looks extremely professional. This looked like the best place to put this. Re: Character sheets

Getting back into looking at Battlegrounds. What is the recommended way to handle character sheets? Nothing fancy, basically just an inventory and starting/current hit points. If it matters, even though I first looked at BGRP way back when, I'm now considering BGE (though FoW looked pretty cool and...

Re: BRPG v1.8 beta released

BRPG v1.8 is now available for download. It is to be considered in beta status for the time being. There are so many helpful improvements in this version! Our group has been happy with the stability of 1.7d so had decided we were just going to stick with that for a while instead of moving through t...

Re: Artpack/Figure preview function

This looks great! Here's a preview of what I am working on for BRPG v1.8. I call it the Gallery Browser. It should make it a lot easier to find a particular token fast, whether it's a local file or one from an artpack. Note that it is a fixed-size window, so it will always display 11 thumbnails at a...

Re: feature request

I think another workaround is to give the hidden unit an Area of Effect. The GM will be able to see the AoE, but other players won't. For BRPG v1.7e, I am adding on option for the GM to be able to see player-controlled Hidden figures. Thank you! I think the option is a better way to go than the AOE...

I used to think the same thing

Everyone in my group said almost the exact same thing when we started. I just wanted a shared map and some dice so that the program could get out of the way and we could just interact (via Skype) as we had when playing live. We used a program called ScreenMonkey that did just that. It worked for us ...

OK, I'll make it a preference. Just wanted to remind you to either change this back to the way it was before 1.6C or to make it a preference. I can see where having figures hidden from the host might be good for boardgames, but for RPGs it is very inconvenient that GMs can't see where invisible pla...

I have really enjoyed the opportunity to stay connected and engaged with old friends who are now scattered across the country. The product is great, and perhaps even more importantly the responsiveness and and support of the developer are second to none.
