Awesome, thanks! Still having a lot of trouble with black bars across my maps. Last Sunday was my next game session, almost entirely run in BG, and the maps would not load fully from the media bundles. BG did recongize the media packs, and did load the maps, but with huge black bars stripped all acr...

In my defense, I only read the "beta" manual you had published, not the one that came with the software.

I do like options, an din fact, if I had an option to own, then a low cost ability for me to subscribe for a little while to kick the tires, with that amount being discounted from my final purchase (or a portion of it maybe), then I would actually be MORE inclined to take a look, not less.

I have to say I agree with previous posts. As you know, I made a significant purchase from you to get my Battlegrounds setup up and running. That including purchasing all the user licenses for my game. Yup, you guessed it, I'm the GM. I do not think my players would have agreed to pay to buy a float...

Musings about a subscription-based business model

Edit: This topic was split from another thread. I wonder if Battlegrounds v2 would be better served by a (non-recurring) subscription model...Thoughts? Wouldn't it get wider adoption than BRPG if it had a lower initial cost, like say, $15/year for a GM Client, and $8/year for a Player Client? I imag...

Spelling is a gift - you either have it or you don't. ;)

I don't have it either. I just know about Sacramento because my folks live there :)

Just hit a situation where having walls would be ideal.... Putting together a dungeon, and in a couple of rooms there are lit torches. If I put the torches in, the light will be visible even though I may not have revealed the room because the torch light radius is bigger than the room. So, I am HIDI...

Script errors happen all the time. They've been a pretty normal fact of life for us. They did increase AFTER the crash though. I do not use the turn sequencer. We do not have any units set to use the sequencer. We strictly use BGRPG for the tactical map. Since everyone is in the same room, it really...

I think that will help me too, though in my case, I think the media bundle did import everything, but the map was just broken up.

My solution is to purge the object and try again. Maybe a button to reload a map?

By the way - if I had to prioritize emy feature request it would be:

1. Walls (a must have)
2. Move approvals (a nice to have)

So....Game FOUR of using BGRPG.....

So, We played game four using BGRPG. This was a small scale dungeon crawl, and a map change in the middle. I used the workaround to link the media asset bundle to the encounter file and everything worked great! Maps loaded instantly (except in one case - and I think that was a hiccup more than anyth...

Actually, with the amount of work that it would require, I figured I wouldn't see it until 2.x.

the big question is, when for 2.x? :)

Walls

For a later release or the next version of BGRPG I would really like to see walls added, much in the same way they work for Scene Grinder (they have an interesting video to watch about it) which I played around with recently. While scene grinder is not as powerful as Battlegrounds, the walls feature...

Did you ever fix that players selecting enhanced vision rather than light source issue? I know - I should just have them try it....

Good news is no animated graphics in my next map :)

A quick update: I just created another encounter...steps I used: 1. Save Encounter 2. Create Media Bundle 3. Exit Battlegrounds I manually checked the encounter file - the media bundle name was not in there. So, for some reason, it is not getting added to the encounter. I manually added the entry, a...

Thanks. FOW is at low on the slowest of the PC's. Light Glow - hmmmph - thought I had gotten rid of those. That would certainly explain a lot. I didn't realize those were animated either - my intention had been to have an object projecting light to account for the fires. The map isn't one of mine :(...

Okay, I see where I said internet issue did not occur. True. Interesting, so the commonality seems to be that when I start transmitting maps I lose the internet. The session I did not have the problem in, I did not send any maps. The demo sessions I used the pre-installed maps, so again, no map tran...

First off I need to say, after reading my post it seems quite rude. I apologize, while I was frustrated at the time I had not intended on flaming or yelling at anyone - but it certainly does read that way. Also, I apologize for my long delay in responding. I had an unexpected stay in the hospital fo...
