Just downloaded the current release client and I am now able to host wirelessly from my intel macbook pro to my intel imac with no issues. I haven't been working on trying to get this to work but I don't think i'm having problems any more.

I was able to connect via airport to a game hosted by a friend on a wired network last night. He was on an iBook G4 running 10.4.8 I was on an Intel iMac running 10.4.8 the interesting thing is that he couldn't host the game either when he was using his wireless connection. I plan to test this on my...

Just tried joining a friend's game (via airport on an intel imac) everything worked at least as far as me connecting (other bug) but all I see are ?s for figures and objects. When he sent me the objects offline and I loaded them manually into the cast they appeared as normal when I reconnected. but ...

at work here where I connect via a wire, I can host a game. I didn't have any actual network when I tried at home before since I was going to just try to have 2 sessions on my laptop. I just switched my location as if I were at work so that it would look for the internet on the ethernet cable. so de...

Hmm, if I switch my location to a location that only uses a wired connection, which turns off my airport card wouldn't I be able to open a hosting session? I still get the same thing.

What was the last version of BRPG in which you could successfully host a game on an Intel Mac over wireless? I'm guessing it was either b1.0.9 or RC1.
1.0.9a I remember because I still have it on my HD

OK, at least now we're getting somewhere, in that now I know that the cause of all this trouble is that MUC variable isn't initializing for some reason. FYI, MUC is the "virtual agent" that handles all the multi-user messaging in BRPG. Try one more thing for me. Hold down the Shift key while you cl...

Be sure to try different values in the new Timeout field on the Login panel. Values are in milliseconds.

Then something happened. :? Heheheh. Halebop was gone, I got busy with another couple of projects, BRPG had a big rash of bugs that made BRPG unusable for many, and you were stuck fixing them. Pretty much everything conspired against forum activity for a while there. :P I'm still busy with another ...

Hosting on an Intel Mac is now working fine, at least while connected via ethernet. I may have to rely on users to test that it also works when connected wirelessly. I also fixed the multiplayer bugs I mentioned in yesterday's update, so things are looking peachy for a release soon. Oh, and the con...

Yep, hosts fine under paralells (Windows XP Pro SP2). right-clicking is a little iffy it seems; have to play more with it later.

BUG (Mac): Intel Mac Failed Hosting with Wireless

Has anyone gotten hosting to work on an Intel mac? (macbook pros?)

Looks like my campaign will be starting up in a few months and if map transfers are working now and we can get hosting to work from my macbook I'll be buying.

The selected fog color is being saved with each encounter, and it's also updated on connected clients if it gets changed manually anytime during the session.

I just tried to host a game and I think it's behaving the same way it was in rc2. I put in my name, check host and click connect and I just get the establishing connection window forever. This is on my macbook pro; i'll try on an older machine tomorrow. ETA: I tried it on my g4 933 desktop (10.4.8 )...
