BGRPG vs Boardgame Edition

Two quick questions:

Can you run a boardgame conversion with BGRPG?

And what do you mean by this additional license for testing purposes? Is that a floating license or something else?

This issue is back in 1.7d- same player, same problems- if he loses connection and tries to reconnect, it says his license is in use and kicks him. Also, small non-critical bug, when selecting art for Portraits or figures, there's some extra lines on the selection box that weren't there before- lowe...

I've been using BGRPGE pretty close to weekly and now that Heruca got me through that issue with my media file getting full, I've had no issues to speak of!

Seems to have done the trick! Thanks! Say, in the future, would there be a way to make the thing automatically detect items that haven't been used in a long time and just periodically purge them? That would be helpful!

Now last time I tried that, all hell broke loose- I lost every map I had and I couldn't get them to reimport, so I had to go back to an earlier edition of the game... How do I fix that issue? If I "purge all", how do I _not_ lose my maps? Or can I somehow exempt that media from a purge?

Maps, Figures getting "?"

I am having, somewhat randomly, figures and maps showing up as "?" when I try to load them. The maps, it happens when I startup the program and then try the "Choose Map" function. The figures are in the Figures directory but I've not used those specific figures before. I have tried to "Batch Import"...

Ya I am thinking of taking all the longfilenames and moving them to folders I won't otherwise use to make new encounters and such and then setting up new folders with the cleaned up and organized files.

Didn't try the visual aid thing... I am actually just patching an archived version so I can get on with the game tonight, but after tonight's game, I will see. The maps fixed okay when I installed a fresh 1.7c overtop of my old one, but then some figures that were renamed recently are not showing up...

Incidentally, the cleaning up of file names in the figures and portraits that led to my very big very bad Purge Media and Map loading issue was in an effort to work around this problem. A solution here might be nice...

I did a Purge Media function earlier today to clean up after renaming/moving some tokens and I purged my maps, too, and after re-importing the newly re-categorized figures, I cannot load _any_ map with M/ Choose Map- I just get the placeholder image. It's a little unwieldy using it on the desktop, so I might just enforce a hand size cap for this game for use with Battlegrounds, then. That should take care of the problems. My only request for change might be that the game allows for a little bigger portrait size before treating it as as landscape...

Sure, you can save any mini or group of minis as a "Deployment File" which maintains all that information and then you can load as many Deployments as you need, with the game keeping it all intact. I do it all the time on the RPG edition and I can't imagine this feature is significantly different on...
