There is no SVG (Scaleable Vector Graphics) support in my development environment, at any price range. I'm not a big fan of the format though. Images in that format look like something out of CC2. I also don't really see zooming as a must-have feature, although I plan to include a zooming feature in...

OK, I see what you mean, now, Halebop. Thanks for the explainatory e-mail. The solution is that for creatures with darkvision (or equivalent), I'll need to double the radius of any light source prior to unmasking the FOW layer. That way, the Elf in your example will see what the human can not, even ...

I think you might be overcomplicating things a bit, Halebop. BRPG is and always will be system-generic, and thus won't alter the light radius depending on whether you are using D&D rules, or Gamma World rules, or whatever. You simply right-click on your token, select Light Radius from the popup menu...

Welcome, GMDAN. If possible, I will have two distinct circles that unmask the fog of war layer. The inner circle (standard light radius) will unmask the fog completely, while the outer circle (shadowy light range) just makes the fog layer 50% transparent. So visually, it should be quite clear whethe...

Forum Tweaks

Does anyone know how I can set the text entry field background color to something lighter, so that we can see the cursor while we compose messages? I'm still kinda new to phpbb forum tweaking.

I'll eventually want to add more Sci-Fi and Modern themed avatars. I figure if the software isn't genre-specific, why should the Forum be? :)

Uploaded several avatar collections. If you don't have an avatar yet, you might want to browse the avatar gallery and chose one for yourself. You'll find a button for doing this on your Profile page. Added a custom logo for the forum header. Clicking on it now takes you back to the main site. Also a...

I just checked, and there IS actually a third-party plug-in I could get that supports the MNG format (think "animated PNGs"). It also does a lot of other useful stuff that would enhance BRPG's graphics rendering, and it supports these functions on both Macs and Windows PCs. That's the good news. Unf...

Welcome, Grimcatch. Nice to see you here.

I'm not familiar with the MNG format. Sounds interesting. I'll have to see if my authoring environment supports (or can be made to support) that format.

I suppose I should clarify that the release date is a "best guess", and is subject to change. If it should happen to slip a bit - say, to early January - well, that's just the nature of software development. But I'm really gunning for a pre-Christmas release, for obvious reasons. I think the Player ...

Welcome, Halebop and RPMiller. It's a good suggestion. The answer is yes, it will almost surely be supported eventually, but probably not in the initial release. One issue to consider is in-game file transfer times. While GIFs are fairly small in file size, animated GIFs may start to get a bit on th...
