Does it work any better if you FIRST turn on FoW and THEN zoom in to 200%? A little. No script error when FoW is turned on or when the zoom goes to 200%. Area of effect still feint; light source still does not work. moving figure with number keys crashed BRPG If I try without zooming, it mostly wor...

Most recent sequence (seems repeatable)= Open BRPG Zoom 200% Enable FoW Script Error as above Turning off the extra memory line makes no difference (this machine has 1G RAM, btw) If press Continue x2 Place figure Attach light source Light source does not appear area of Effect does work but feint fig...

I haven't really tried BRPG on this computer before. I have tried it a few more times after restarting the computer. Once the FoW worked fine & I thought it was just a glitch, but a bit more playing around and up it came again. I won't be able to look at it a bit more until tonight & really it will ...

That's good. I thought I ought to post, since it is icon sweekend, even without trying to test it properly myself. It seems to be a Director problem rather than a BRPG one. I haven't time to play any more as I am very busy this weekend. I don't see why it should be happening at all. Relatively new (...

BUG: FoW at High Zoom Levels. Error -2147219502 (1.0.6b)

I was just looking at the new version 1.06b (on Win XP Pro). When I turned on the FoW, I got the above error. Whatever buttons I then clicked, the program crashed soon after. Never got it up for more than a few minutes, with only one figure and no objects placed on a BRPG map. Same result both times...

I think you'll like it once you try it. The only problem is that the GM needs some server space to upload images to before the game session. If it proves to be the best system, this might be an extra service you could offer (at a small cost :D ). Probably services like Flickr would work too. Dundji...

Ok, before I go blazing through the posts changing stickies I'll contact Omnidon so that we're on the same page about how to organize things. All I can say is please, please, please remove the sticky hell. It makes some of the forums virtually impossible to read. You could just unstick them & the o...

That;s very good news. One of the downsides of the improvements with each version is that it has not always been possible to just load old encounters etc. (I've not tried every version, but it has never been possible on the versioons I have tried). I think it is pretty essential to be able to upgrad...

So to get 30 and 45 degrees you would need increments of 15 degrees - or the abillity to just set a number.

Downloaded v1.0 and it seems to set up properly as a GM. Haven't tested that hosting actually works yet. We have a mixed wired & wireless network with router assigning IPs and never had any problem with the computers connecting wirelessly. Is it possible that the people still with problems are mainl...

I'm afraid that I haven't even downloaded v1.0 yet. for a number of reasons:- 1. My main computer has debveloped an intermittent hardware fault which is likely to take me some calender time to sort (trying one thing at a time and waiting to see if it makes a difference). I bought a new computer (gav...

A lot of these VTs seem either to have stalled or to never have built up a big enough head of steam to have a reasonable size of community.

'Split thread' then 'merge thread'. Definitely not as easy or intuitive as 'move post'.

The pricing of BRPG is certainly something that concerns me. All BRPG users have a vested interest in Heruca making sufficient money form it to keep working on it. At the same time, in terms of features etc & value for money it doesn't look very good against a lot of other programs that have one (or...

In some ways the potential for abuse isue is similar to having to reinstall it if a computer crashes. You can try a solution and see whether you are getting a surprising number of requests. If so, then you can rethink or become stricter. It's a tricky balance between attracting new customers by appe...

Downloaded and tried it out (once). Firstly got an error message (Port verification timeout :( ), but then it established the connection. :D :D  So success first time. Maybe it just needed the longer timeout. I'll try it again a few times tomorrow, but I'm pretty confident that it will continue...

I like to install progs I've bought where and when I want myself.

But, it seems to me that if the prog can be installed on 10 computers at once then the number of buyers will end up being much smaller than the number of sharers.

As far as I can see, when I try to host with RC1 it opens the port (into listening state).
When I do the same with RC2, no port is opened.

By any chance, do the affected computers NOT have internet access, or have it blocked by a firewall? All the computers have internet access. All are protected by firewalls - but they are set up to allow BRPG RC2 as well as RC1; permissions same for both. Have tried without firewalls too - but it ma...

Question for Weezoh.

Am I right in thinking that you too can host with RC1, but not with RC2?
