(Old "Map Window Not Showing On Launch") [LOCKED]

Note that this did not happen with Beta 1.04 When I open the program, the main BRPG window doesn't come up. I can see the typical Windows animation of the window moving into the upper left corner, but then it's gone. The About / Title window still pops up fine. WORKAROUND: The only way I can get it ...

I know my router can have that feature turned off as well though, which would prevent some things from working automatically.

Heheh ;-) Is there any way to make BRPG "Plug & Play Compatible" ? Many routers nowadays are Plug and Play and will configure all that automatically if the application supports it (as do many games). But yeah, I know how to open ports up. I just use one port for all my games so I dont have to keep g...

I'll probably preorder too. But I agree that putting the Save feature into a demo is dangerous. You don't really need the save feature to properly demonstrate the product, and a timeout feature doesn't work if they can save. Saving for 8 units would be enough for some people. That would allow them t...

Ah sorry lurker, misunderstood cuz I missed a page in this thread heheh. Yeah I agree with your point... And sorry for misquoting you heruca, though it was closer to paraphrasing ;-) You said you wanted to go to that extra effort in the areas your competators were falling short. To me, any sort of e...

More people for the Forum

I actually didn't notice the forum the first couple days after I found the website.

You should put the link near the top of your menu, and rather than having it link to a page about the forum, have it link straight to the forum instead.

That will help more people find it.

as long as it ships with a working dice roller it serves its purpose. Well, I'm not interested in dice rolling. There are plenty of online dice rollers out there. And I'm also not interested in a program that "serves its purpose"... Most people would argue that things like ScreenMonkey serve their ...

Perhaps you could put the roof pieces in as Objects and set them as hidden to the characters that are on the ground?

Yeah well the idea of a Floating License will definitely help expand the community more rapidly, since people will get hooked on it by their GMs.

Looking forward to the new beta :D

Sounds great!

Most other ways of implementing it would be less convenient for the player anyway.

Well that's because high quality ones are hard to make, but there are a lot of things that don't need to be high quality. For example, wouldn't it be great to have your clever theif's portrait winking at you while you play? And wouldn't it be great to be able to put in blinking buttons for sci-fi se...

Feature: Cell Notes

I know you can already Edit Notes for figures as well as set various effects such as "Unconscious" or "Crawling". But why not for cells? My players are far more likely to forget whether the pit is a deadly fall than they are to forget that their character is Berserk. More examples would be noting wh...

Hmmm I've been working on building an online roleplaying community and this is a good idea.

I might integrate it into my site. ;-)

Hello everyone! I have been known by many handles, including Omnidon, Omni, TheCauseMaster, and tru3nigma I'm a Game Master from central NY, USA I've been roleplaying since 2nd grade, when I invented a roleplaying system of my own before I ever heard of D&D. Because I had such pioneer origins, I nev...
