ajaximrpg: new browser-based IM lobby

Post by ajaximrpg » Tue Nov 30, 2010 8:07 pm

I just released ajaximrpg 4.00 which is a new virtual tabletop for RPGs that runs in a web browser.

A demo server is at: http://www.svexpertise.com/ajaximrpg/server

I humbly ask that the following entry be added to the links page at http://www.battlegroundsgames.com/links.html :

Under "VIRTUAL TABLETOP (VT) PROGRAMS FOR RPGs"

Under "Free Programs:"

ajaximrpg
JavaScript based, runs in a web browser.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/ajaximrpg/

Thank you for your consideration.

Welcome, ajaximrpg.

Is it actually a virtual tabletop (i.e., is there a mapping element, dice roller, etc.) or is it a text chat client?

It's a text chat client, not a VT, as his own webpage admits:

In that case, I'm sorry, but I will not put a link to a non-VT program on my list of links to VTs. That would be misleading.

Also, I will move this thread to the Links & Resources subforum, since it was mis-posted to the "Comment About this Website" subforum.

That seems fair

Ok, that seems fair.

You consider a virtual tabletop to be a visual view of the tabletop (or visual dice, I guess); I consider a virtual tabletop to be anything that allows you to play a role-playing game. I'll accept your definition in the context of this web site.

Be that as it may, thank you for putting me in the Links & Resources subforum.

I'll certainly reapply when ajaximrpg has miniatures map or something like it.
