I didn't have any 20MB files handy so I created one. ;-)
It's appropriately themed too.

Most medium sized uploads (2-10 MB) should be working now.

Tomorrow I'll contact my webhost and try to get them to fix the "Connection was reset" server error frequently suffered by larger uploads.

As I said, most uploads below 10 MB should work fine.
The problem with the "Connection was Reset" error that happens frequently with larger uploads has not been addressed yet, since I decided not to hassle with it over the holidays.

I'll test it and, if it's still happening, then I'll contact the webhost today.

EDIT: It's still happening. I submitted a ticket to the webhost.
Note that in the meantime, if you're patient, you can still get larger uploads 10-20MB in size to work at least 20% of the time.

Just an update on this issue:
The webhost hasn't been able to find what is causing the error that is sometimes causing large uploads to file, partly because they aren't able to duplicate the error on their end.

I've asked a few friends to help test it and not all of them were getting the error, so the user's location clearly affects the problem, although we haven't any specific trend yet.

My own experimentation with it shows that it only occurs in certain browsers (including Firefox 3 and IE7 / IE8), regardless of the user's location. It doesn't occur in IE6 or Google Chrome. (Haven't tested Safari, Netscape, Opera, etc. yet)

Additionally, it has something to do with the rate at which the file is uploaded or buffered, since I was able to get it to work in Firefox by disabling the network.tcp.sendbuffer

Summary:
The issue only affects some users.
It only affects some browsers.
It never affects files smaller than about 7 MB.

If anyone else wants to help do further testing, it'd be great to have some more volunteers. Just post here or find me on IMs.
