Congrats on the "raise", Halebop.

Look at the bright side: your name is now plastered under every single forum description.

(anyone know how I can get rid of that?)

Not sure if that's a serious question or not... but if it is, and if memory serves, in PHPBB (at least, the last time I used it) I think you have to modify the template itself. I'm pretty sure it's not a config setting... could be wrong though.

:sniffs: A snide comment from a jealous and petty poster, obviously stung by my rapid and lofty elevation.

Hmmm. ....a quandary though, should I start referring to myself in 3rd person, as befits my greatness?

I think giving Halebop so much power scared everyone away. Quietest day on the forums to date. :(

Oh, Heruca, you could just make him an admin, that way he can do all the moderation stuff and doesn't need to be assigned as moderator to all forums. But you have to trust the person, of course.

Yeah, it was a serious question, and I figured it out. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Omnidon is now a Moderator of these forums, too.

I need extra help with the ever-increasing number of spam posts, and Omnidon is a great choice - he's almost always around.

By the way, I didn't notice this thread before, but you can do that without modifying templates.

Just create a Moderators usergroup and add people to it.
Give that usergroup permissions to moderate the forums, then set the group to "Hidden".
