Virtual Luma Die - a free BRPG/BGE add-on

Image

This free add-on for use in BRPG or BGE contains dice graphics for a digital version of the Luma 6-sided die. Backers of the [urlx=https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1372946489/luma-dice/description]Luma Kickstarter campaign[/urlx] can now use their favorite LED die in their online games. And non-backers can just enjoy a cool-looking new die that seems particularly well-suited for use in sci-fi themed games.

The purpose of this add-on is to allow you to add the Luma d6 to the program's Dice Roller window, for use in dice macros. In addition, the included artpack and Deployment files allow you to place one or more Luma dice directly on the map or gameboard, where you may roll it or use it as a fancy counter/tracker.

Installation and general usage instructions can be found in the ReadMe file that is included in the Zip file.

Note that the Luma Dice Kickstarter campaign is currently ongoing (27 days to go), so current BRPG and BGE users who would like to have the physical dice for their face-to-face games should consider backing the campaign, which is doing quite well (currently over $110K) despite having launched just recently.

I invite backers of the KS campaign who have only now heard of BRPG and BGE to have a look around [urlx=http://www.battlegroundsgames.com/]the Battlegrounds website[/urlx]. Feel free to ask questions, and be sure to [urlx=http://www.battlegroundsgames.com/downloads.html]download the free BRPG and/or BGE Demos[/urlx] if you haven't already done so.

Figured I'd post some sample screenshots of the Luma die in use.

1) Tally successes
2) Roll vs. a Target Number
3) Look up a die result on a table
4) Optionally, roll the die/dice right on the gameboard

Nice ;-) I don't use dice, but if I did I would definitely use those.

If those were made from a template, I suggest you consider making a black dice version too ;-)

They were made from the photo in the OP.

I'm going to wait to see what else the KS produces. Perhaps a d20? I know other dice colors are planned, but there are no god pics available yet.

I can't seem to unzip them, it indicates the file is invalid.

Try a different unzipping utility. Let me know if the problem persists and I'll create a new zip file.

Windows Explorer is indeed unable to open it, probably due to the odd ./ in the folder path name.

winRAR opens it just fine.

I rezipped it for you in case you still need it:
