Hex related issues [FIXED]

Post by Venger » Tue Mar 20, 2007 7:08 pm

1) When placing figures with a hex grid, the figures will not appear in the area clicked into, and will appear in random locations above the area clicked in. Sometimes completely off the map. Most of the time they will not be visible and I have to open the Unit manager to locate them and move them into position.

2) While testing moving units around in hex grid, the Torchlight is not centered on the token, the center of the light being offset about 3 hexes directly below the token

Changing to square grid and reloading BRPG eliminated these problems

Thanks for posting this.

I was aware of the first issue, but it helps to have a reminder here for me to address it at some point. The problem is that snap-to-grid was disabled in hex mode, but it's still trying to convert the position you clicked on the map into a specific hex coordinate. Possible workaround: deploying with snap-to-grid off might ensure accurate placement.

I was not aware of issue 2, and will look into it. Might be related to issue 1.

I'm working on addressing these issues. These will be the last bug fixes I include in v1.0.6b (assuming I can fix them in time).

Edit: And I think I fixed both issues!

Oh thats awesome!

We would play with squares if necessary

Our group prefer hexes for merp, so this is excellent news

So whats the possibility of getting a fixed version of BRPG before this Sunday? My game is coming up, and I will use squares if I have to but would like to run hexes

Aren't the two issues you mentioned fixed in v1.0.6b?
