Minor but annoying bug

Post by fb66 » Sat Dec 13, 2008 9:39 pm

I have noticed occasionally when using the text macro function from the chat window battlegrounds crashes.
i get a box that says:-
macromedia has encountered a problem and needs to close. we are sorry for the inconvenience.

despite many attapts to discover what exactly causes the error my best guess is over enthusiastic clicking on a text selection (ie more than two). However the problem does not seen entirely consistant.

I haven't seen that before, but I'll see if I can duplicate the problem. Thanks for reporting it.

It sounds like the type of error we used to get from a buggy Flash text field.

That seems to indicate that the problem may be with some third-party code I used in the file "Table Support.cxt", which is responsible for drawing the table of text macros. This is probably going to be a tough one for me to figure out. Can you confirm that this file is present in the root folder of your BRPG installation?

Is anyone else getting this error, besides fb66?

One of my players tried to set up some text macros and told me he was having problems I'll ask him what happened.
