Usability: 1000 Turns (RC2a-1.0.5beta) [FIXED]

Very minor issue, but I'll forget if I don't post it.

After 999 turns, the counter appears to go back to 100, though if you do 10 more turns you'll see that the last digit just isn't fitting into the field cuz it goes to 101.

:P

To duplicate, just change the fifth value in an encounter file to 998, load it, and step a few turns...

Or you can use this one:

LOL, I never expected even more than 100 turns when I designed it. And even that's a stretch.

Hmm well I can certainly forsee exceeding 1000 turns, especially in tactical games.

But yeah, as I said, it's a very minor issue. :P I just had an impulse to test it.

Technically, this is still a Bug, though it seems to simply be a display bug.

If it's not going to display 1001+ properly, you might just want to have it reset to 1.

Another one of those CRITICAL bugs, eh?

I'll probably make the field slightly bigger, to support up to 9999 turns, after which it will reset to Turn 1.

Heh, certainly not critical, but probably one of the easier bugs to squash.

And I'm all about moving these posts from Open to Fixed now! ;)

This is fixed for the v1.0.5 patch.

I still think no one is likely to exceed 999 turns in a game, but now I could be wrong ten times over and it would still work. :)

Well, as far as I was concerned, the amount of turns wasn't as important as making sure the display was working correctly and having the counter properly reset when it did top out. Heck, 20 rounds in most battles is a pretty long time for the games I play.
