Bug Title: Can not use images with the same name in differen

Post by hoihoi8 » Fri Oct 17, 2014 4:59 pm

Hello,
Trying to get my board game setup in BGE for prototyping.

Bug Title: Can not use images with the same name in different folders when creating decks

Repro Steps:
1. Create a folder called PlayerClassBoard
2. Create a folder called PlayerClassCards
3. Put a warrior player board in the PlayerClassBoard folder called warrior.png
4. Put a warrior player card in the PlayerClassCards called warrior.png.
5. Attempt to place a deck with both sets.

Results:
The images for PlayerClassCards and PlayerClassBoard are the same even though they are different. It looks like the game is caching a file named warrior.png and using it everywhere.

Expected Results:
PlayerClassBoard\Warrior.png and PlayerClassCards\warrior.png should be treated differently.

I believe this is listed somewhere as a known limitation of the software.
While I agree that it certainly an annoyance and something that should be avoided when coding BGv2, I don't think the developer would consider this a bug.

Both BGE and BRPG reference media assets only by name, I'm afraid. It helps to keep that in mind when naming your media assets. Try to use function-specific terms for the filenames, such as "Aragorn Token", "Aragorn Portrait", and "Aragorn Stat Block", in order to avoid having duplicate filenames in the various directories.
