problems with unit movement

the numbers on the keypad moves a unit, but it also selects the various camera views.

also on the keypad, the - key rotates the unit left, but the + does nothing.

Works fine for me. Number keys only activate Views if no unit is selected, or if a drag operation is underway.

Are you sure you don't just need to toggle your Num Lock key?

i've tried toggling the NUM LOCK key and when it is off, it acts as arrow keys. when it is on, the numbers both activate movement and view presets.

Then this might be a Windows-only issue. I tested on a Mac. Will test on Windows tomorrow night.

Is there any difference in behavior if you use the number keys along the top of the keyboard, rather than the ones on the number pad?

the numbers along the top work the exact same way as the numbers on the keypad.

here's a video of what happens

that weird flashing text appears to be the ABOUT window in a layer behind the map? i'm not sure, it only shows up in the video and not in BGE itself

You aren't by chance holding down the mouse button at the moment you press a movement hotkey, are you?

i am not touching the mouse while using the number keys. i use my right hand for the mouse and for the keypad, so i can really only be using one or the other and not both.

I've confirmed the error with the rotation hotkeys and with the undesired view-changing behavior. It is present on both Mac and Windows, although it manifests somewhat differently on each platform.

Will fix this for BGE v1.4. The error is not present in BRPG.

Both issues are now fixed in BGE v1.4. I hope to get v1.4 released fairly soon (within a week or so).
