third party maps

Post by jboyd4650 » Wed Aug 14, 2013 2:21 pm

ok, i use a scale of 5 feet to hex, but the maps that are made are at 10 feet a square. (I don't mind the imported square overlay) But, i can't figure out if there is a way to get the BG hex overlay so that it is 2 hexes to the square. So far, everything I have done keeps the square to hex ratio the same (visually).

Any ideas, or suggestions on which way to go with this would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome, jboyd4650.

In BRPG, the hex grid stays a fixed size, and you instead must resize the map to the correct scale.

Use the Map Settings panel to size the map such that one square is the width of two hexes. Make sure the "Maintain Aspect Ratio" checkbox is selected, to keep the vertical proportion correct.

Oh, and depending on how much area is covered by your square-gridded map, you may need to chop it up first into sections no larger than 20 x 20 squares.

thanks,

that did it, i had to cut the maps down, as they were too big. Once i got the 20 square size the hexes fit right in.

again thanks
