Overlays for isomorphic boards/maps

Post by rrvistas » Mon Oct 20, 2008 9:10 am

Some Avalon Hill games often overlays, ranging from a single hex to half a map size, for their isomorphic maps. This allowed to, sometimes drasticly, change the nature of a board. ASL Modules "GungHo!" and "West Of Allameign" come to my mind.

That sort of thing is already supported with the Tile feature (where you place an object on the map, then lock it down underneath the grid layer to essentially alter the base map).

The Wargame Edition will also probably have a system for setting up adjoining modular game boards, so you can define the relative position of all the map sections.
